City of Talisay Crop Production Assistance Program to Farmers: Turn-Over Various Agricultural Inputs

Mayor Neil Lizares awarded about 2,240 different kinds of vegetable seeds, 10 tons of chicken dung, 300 bags of Triple 14 Fertilizer, 200 liters Free Grower Fertilizer, 100 bags Certified Seeds and 100 Lanzones Seedlings to a total of 350 member farmer beneficiaries from the 18 different Farmers Association duly und allocations, accredited in the City of Talisay.

The various agricultural inputs are part of the Crop Production Assistance to Farmers Program of the #gwapongaserbisyo. Distribution of the following agricultural products was facilitated by the City Agriculture Office headed by Maam Jucelia Sevilla.

The said farm implements are part of the Crop Production Assistance to farmers, allocations of which was taken from the 1.6 Million pesos BUB Funded Projects of the Department of Agriculture in the city.

In his message, Mayor Neil pointed out the importance of food security in the city, hence the said farm implements will be of great help for our farmers for better crop production. With bigger fund allocation for agriculture, Talisay farmers are ensured of equitable and sustainable projects. Lastly, Mayor Neil, took the opportunity and announced to all who have attended the programs and projects of the #gwapongaserbisyo and its vision to bring about positive change and to deliver the basic services to all Talisaynons.

The joint Burial Assistance program of Congressman Albee Benitez and the city, the intensified health services of the City Health Office, the allowances for the senior citizens, PWDs and barangay tanods and the proposed implementation of the insurance which aims to cover all Talisaynons were among the flagship programs of his administration.

Present during the turnover ceremony are Assistant City Administrator Ismael Penado, Executive Assistant Dan Tribaco and SPM RJ Tuvilla.
