City of Talisay Hosts OFW Families Annual Mid-Year Assessment and Planning Workshop

Talisay City was chosen to be the venue of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Region VI, Annual Mid-Year Assessment and Planning with workshop topics on Basic Book Keeping Training and Capability Building on Developing Effective Communication Skills. This year’s convention was attended by OFW- Family Circle Officers from the different barangays in the city, together with the OFW- Family Circle officers from Valladolid, Escalante and Bacolod City.

The 3-day training workshop that started on August 9, 2017 and will culminate today provided all the attendees valuable inputs that could help them perform their duties and responsibilities effectively and efficiently as OFW Officers.

OWWA- Region VI, Regional Director Mr. James Mendiola, Overseas Workers Welfare Officer II, Rizza Joy Mapa Moldes, and Overseas Workers Welfare Officers Sherwin Montecillo Madayag and Remon Almonares Albeza were among the speakers in the said training.

SPM Rolin Meliton welcomed the participants and the speakers from OWWA Region VI in behalf of City Mayor Neil E. Lizares II. The activity was made possible through the efforts of Mrs. Sally Barrios, of the City of Talisay OFW- Family Circle Office.
