“I DO – A PROMISE OF FOREVER” AT THE TALISAY CITY JAIL

“A Happy Marriage Is About Three Things: Memories of Togetherness, Forgiveness of Mistakes And A Promise To Never Give Up On Each Other”

Seven couples, (6 males and 1 female) took their vows before Mayor Neil E. Lizares III, in today’s Mass Wedding Ceremony at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology City of Talisay (BJMP) this morning October 24, 2017.

Said undertaking is in accordance with the celebration of the National Correctional Consciousness Week ( NACOCOW) 2017. The marriage rite was held at the City Jail Multi-Purpose Center. The multi-purpose center was completed through the benevolence and support of Mayor Neil and wife Atty. Rowena Lizares and mother Maam Nanette Lizares, Mr. Kenneth Tirthdas and Judge Giselle Sanchez- Tan.

Newly installed BJMP jail warden J/SInsp Andrew Larupay delivered an opening remark during the program. Mayor Neil in his message promised every one of his administration’s continued support and assistance to BJMP’s new leadership. The proposed and approved projects will still be implemented, among those are the service vehicle, generator and the opportunity for the inmates’ handicrafts and other livelihood products to be showcased and promoted at the to be inaugurated Talisay City Visitor’s Information Center at the City Public Plaza.

“Treat one another with courtesy and respect, sa ulihi magkaayohan kamu, pakasal gid kmu liwat sa simbahan kay buligan ta kamu”, was Mayor Neil’s short but meaningful word of advice to all the newlyweds.

Mayor Neil thanked all people who collaborated to make the activity a success. First stop is Warden Larupay of the Talisay City Jail. The hardworking government servants of the City’s Local Civil Registrar Office headed by Rosemarie Tiolo and her support staff Rosanna Baydo, Renelita Billones, Federico Cundada, Jim Bryan Larida and Jose Beson. And from the City Mayors Office, Cheryll Parcon and Corazon Hernaiz.
