City of Talisay Scholarship Sa Masa Program Relaunching and Orientation

A 3,000 PESO SUBSIDY, OPEN TO ALL COURSES AND FOR ALL LEVELS, AND FINALLY A SCHOOL BUS, NEW FEATURES OF THE #GWAPONGASERBISYO'S INTENSIFIED SCHOLARSHIP SA MASA PROGRAM

This morning at the Dela Rama Hall, Talisay City Hall, 127 Scholarship sa Masa Program grantees attend the Relaunching and Orientation Program of which better and more intensified provisions are announced for a better and wider coverage of the Scholarship sa Masa program under the #gwapongaserbisyo.

The Scholarship sa Masa Program was started by former City Of Talisay Mayor Anthony V. Lizares with Mayor Neil E. Lizares III now continuing his legacy with a more comprehensive and more intensified scholarship program established by the #gwapongaserbisyo with the program budget allocation of 4 million pesos every school year and an additional 1 million pesos every year.

The Scholarship sa Masa Program is now open to all Talisaynon College Students, either they are incoming freshmen students or already in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year in college provided they are enrolled in TUP-V or CHMSC campuses (Talisay, Alijis or Fortune Towne). Scholars are given free choice of any courses that they want. Miscellaneous fees are covered and on top of it is the allocation for Educational Subsidy given to all scholars every semester in the amount of P3,000.00. Said Educational Subsidy is the additional benefit given to all grantees of which was distributed to all grantees today after the contract signing. In addition, the present administration will be procuring school bus to service grantees in the upland barangays of the city next year.

A wider coverage Scholarship sa Masa Program of the #gwapongaserbisyo was provisioned for the purpose of providing opportunities not only to the less privileged ones but most of all to all Talisaynon youth to go to college, finish a degree land a good job, help their families and eventually reach their dreams. Henceforth, it aims to produce excellent students - excellent SCHOLARS.

Mayor Neil in his message called for the support of everybody to campaign and let every Talisaynon know about the program. #Gwapongaserbisyo believes that education is an investment, thus, Mayor Neil’s administration is making said program a priority and a commitment. This only show that Mayor Neil is indeed serious and dedicated in helping Talisaynon youth by providing better alternatives and opening greater opportunities for all, hence posting a challenge to all parents to never give up and to all students to continue to strive for excellence, excel in school for their families, for their city and for the country.

Later in the program is the signing of the Scholarship sa Masa Program contract of agreement executed by and among the City of Talisay represented by City Mayor Neil E. Lizares III and the student grantees and their parents.
