Lizares Hailed 2018 Pasidungog Awardees As “CHAMPIONS”

In a simple but poignant awarding ceremony, Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares III bestowed honor and recognition to four “champions” of volunteerism and disaster assistance, public service, education reform, social and real estate development the 2018 Outstanding Talisaynon Awards at the Grand Ballroom of Nature Village Resort, Talisay City last February 8.


“Talisay City is a rich breeding ground of outstanding and dignified individuals if not in the entire province of Negros Occidental but also in the Philippines.

Those accorded such distinct recognition were former Negros Occidental Provincial Governor no Synergia Foundation Inc, Board of Trustee Rafael “Lito” Coscolluela in the field of Government Service and Education Reform. Coscolluela was represented by hi son former Talisay Councilor Chino Coscolluela. The founder of Kalipay Negrense Foundation Anna C. Balcells was recognized for her exemplary commitment in the field of Social Development. For Volunteer Work and Disaster Assistance, the city government of Talisay recognized the many years of hardwork rendered by the Rescue and Disaster Assistance Network, Inc. or RADIANT represented by Jose “Jojo” Robello. A posthumous recognition was conferred to Hernan R. Lopez, Jr in the field of Real Estate Development received by his widow, Dolores Lopez, President of HDL Construction and Development Corporation.

Lizares added that this year’s Pasidungog Awards is a celebration of concern for others, passion for service and development and persistence to make Talisay City and the world a better place to live in.

“You exemplify excellence in service that we and the rest of Talisay City should emulate. You truly inspire us,” said Lizares in closing.

The 2018 Pasidungog Awards is one of the highlights of the 20th Charter Anniversary of Talisay City which culminates on Sunday, February 11, 2018.
