LIZARES EXTENDS P1,000.00 MONTHLY ALLOWANCE FOR EACH TRAINEE FROM HIS OWN POCKET ON TOP OF THE CITY’S FOOD SUBSISTENCE

Prominence of police visibility. This shall be a common sight for Talisay folks beginning today and for the next five (5) months when 45 young police recruits shall be strategically posted in various locations of the city.

In a courtesy call at the City Hall today, Mayor Neil Lizares welcomed the young recruits to the City of Gwapo nga Serbisyo with an assurance that by September they shall receive each one thousand pesos monthly allowance as his personal contribution to their day-to-day subsistence on top of the groceries and other food assistance from the city of Talisay.

“If there is one thing I want to ask of you it is courtesy. When you give assistance to the people of Talisay, treat them with courtesy. Show willingness to give assistance,” Lizares prodded the trainees.


Mayor Nilo E. Lizares requested the police trainees for ALERTNESS in all situations that may arise in the city of Talisay.

Lizares emphasized that good services, even in small things will have a big impact on people and may stir positive reactions.

Talisay City police chief P/Supt. Adonis Rosales said that the detail of these new recruits to Talisay City is a requirement for their course completion at the Regional Police Training Center here in Negros Occidental. The detail in Talisay City shall last for 5 months.

“We are thankful to Mayor Lizares as the monthly allowance shall be a big help for the trainees. I think Talisay City is the only LGU which extended such assistance,” Rosales revealed.

Lizares likewise called on the trainees to be on alert at all times in responding to any form of incident.

Police trainees Jerremie Diamante, Sherlyn Francisco and Sunny Benadula, all of Bago City gratefully expressed their appreciation for the P 1,000.00 monthly allowance. “Gwapo na ang syudad sang Talisay, gwapo pa ang Mayor,” PO1 Pundales said with a grin.


The new police recruits during a courtesy call at the City Mayor's Office of Talisay City. The tour of assignment started last August 18 and to last until January 2018.

Also present were Executive Assistants Jerray Bagtas and Dan Tribaco.
