Mayor Neil Lizares Reconvenes Talisay IATF

October 16, 2020

Mayor Neil Lizares reconvenes the local Inter-agency Task Force to keep everyone abreast of the Covid-19 situation in Talisay and to recalibrate the coordinated response to sustain the recent gains against the spread of the virus.

With firm guidelines and enforcement in place, the City has managed to reverse the surge in cases in September and has kept it single digit levels in October with only 55 active cases remaining to date. More are recovering daily bringing our Recovery Rate to a high 87.4%, exceeding the provincial, regional and the national recovery rate of 84.8%.

With this promising development, Mayor Lizares would like to commend as always, all the frontliners for the job well done and thank them for their selfless dedication, sacrifices and hard work.

Moving forward, Mayor Neil wants to focus and push for extra preacautionary measures to be enforced to the barangays with the highest active cases (i.e. Zone 12-A ), continue restrict movements during Sundays and will require medical certificate to those working in Bacolod.

Furthermore, Mayor Neil wants to strictly enforce the 'NO HOME ISOLATION AND HOME QUARANTINE POLICY' to further effect a slow down in local transmission and continue to achieve a higher recovery rate.

Lastly, Mayor Neil calls on all Talisaynons to continue to stay vigilant, guard our gains by following strict health protocols on the correct usage of masks and faceshields, frequent handwashing, 1-meter physical distancing and 'Stay-at-Home' appeals.
