Pre-Minuluan Festival Exhibit and Trade Fair Opens

The Pre-Minuluan Festival Exhibit and Trade Fair opened yesterday afternoon at The District North Point in Talisay City, which serves as a prelude to the opening of the Minuluan Festival, scheduled for Friday, September 8.


The Pre-Minuluan Festival Exhibit and Trade Fair opened yesterday afternoon at The District North Point in Talisay City.

The trade fair runs until Sunday, September 10.

The fair opened with music provided by the Patik Minulu-an Drumbeaters, performances by Minuluan dancers from the Prestige Comprehensive School, and a message from Talisay City Administrator, Atty. Jonathan Ealdama.

Meanwhile, Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares III said he would like to see the Minuluan Festival become an important destination in the country and characterized this year’s observance as a “celebration of our faith as Christians.”

The trade fair features locally-produced handicrafts, personal accessories, a variety of food, plants, among other products.

Also in attendance at the opening were Talisay City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) members RJ Tuvilla and Gabriel Villacin, Assistant City Administrator Ismael Penado, barangay captains, city government department heads, and staff of the Department of Education Division of Talisay City./WDJ
