Talisay City #GwapoNgaSerbisyo Conducts Food Safety Awareness Seminar  With Emphasis on Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)

39 participants coming from the city public market operating businesses which involve food handling are given knowledge and information on food safety and good hygiene practices.


The seminar is conducted to raise awareness and educate Talisaynons in the food industry on the importance and benefits of proper hygiene and food safety in application to their respective food businesses.

The Food Safety Awareness and Good Hygiene Practices Seminar is made possible in cooperation with the City of Talisay through the the Office of Assistant City Administrator ismael Penado, the Association of Negros Producers (ANP), Association of Negros Producers -Foundation for Enterprise Development Inc., (ANP-FEDI), OurFood and Negros Consultancy Group.

Participants are given on hand learning by the speakers, from ANP-FEDI, Acting Executive Director Marivic Rio, Dr. Anabel Salacata presented topics on Food Safety Hazards, Personal Hygiene and Food Serving Preparation. Engr. Dinah Acoyong talked about Handwashing: Glo Germ Discussion of Results and Cross Contamination Powder Exercise.
