City of Talisay PNP Conducts Checkpoint in Brgy. Matab-ang

"Intensify police visibility," this is the marching order of Mayor Neil Lizares to Talisay Philippine National Police Deputy Chief of Police Superintendent Joseth Catonina who personallly manned the checkpoint with Investigation Section Chief SPO4 Santiago Cabangal during a random police check point in Barangay Matab-ang this afternoon.

There are no so-called holidays for members of the Talisay City Philippine National Police (PNP) who were at Barangay Matab-ang late this afternoon, near the Talisay Townheights (Triad) conducting an intensified police checkpoint to carry out the marching order of Mayor Neil Lizares to improve police visibility and to promote overall peace and order and safety in the city.


"Keep safe at all times," this was the gentle reminder of Talisay City Philippine National Police Deputy Chief Joseth Catonina who personally checked on a motorcyle driver with his family, who heeded the deputy's call, during a random police check point in Barangay Matab-ang this afternoon.

Both private and public cars and motorcycles were not spared from the random check of the police team headed by Chief of Police PSUPT Adonis Rosales, with Deputy Chief of Police PSI Joseth Catonina personally on site to man the check point.


"Use helmet even for tandem riders," a gentle reminder of Talisay City Philippine National Police Deputy Chief Joseth Catonina as he checked on the drivers license of a motorcycle rider, who promptly obliged, during a random police check point in Barangay Matab-ang this afternoon.

Members of the police team reminding the motorcycle riding public of the rule of using helmets even for the tandem riders included Talisay PNP Investigation Section Chief SP04 Santiago Cabangal, Operation Section Chief SPO1 Ruel Gubac, SPO1 Marlon Cabellon, SPO1 Joffrey Cabiton and PO1 Norberto Moreno Jr.


"Show courtesy while doing your job," this was the appeal of Mayor Neil Lizares to the Talisay Philippine National Police with Investigation Section Chief SPO4 Santiago Cabangal following orders showing courtesy to a private vehicle rider during a random police check point in Barangay Matab-ang this afternoon.

On site to apprehend and impound the vehicle of violators included the team from the Talisay Traffic Management Authority (TMA), traffic enforcers Arnel Pabillo and Raul Tuzon and providing additional back-up security were members of the Civilian Volunteer Organization (CVO) or the Barangay Police Action Team (BPATS), with the father and son tandem of Dionisio Divinagracia and Aaron Divinagracia, and Raffy Ortiz.

"Salamat sa inyo nga pag check point," this was a common reply to Talisay Traffic Management Authority enforcer Arnel Pabillo, a member of the team that manned the random police check point in Barangay Matab-ang this afternoon.


The men-in-uniform of the Talisay Philippine National Police played no favorite in checking both motorcyle and car driven vehicles to keep our streets safe, peaceful and orderly during a random police check point in Barangay Matab-ang this afternoon.
