Mayor Neil E. Lizares III allocated fund for the monthly financial support of the 366 barangay tanods from the different barangays in the city. Said initiative is another 1st for the #gwapongaserbisyo.

Last August 7, 2017, a total of 253 barangay tanods received their 1st monthly allowance of 500 pesos at the Talisay City Hall's Dela Rama Hall. Barangay tanods play an important role in keeping peace and order in every barangay. With meager income they still continue to do their duties and responsibilities as peacekeepers.

In addition, the city has sponsored series of trainings on basic life saving, fire fighting and other multi sectoral concerns to equip them with all the skills and knowledge needed for their job. The learnings they have acquired from these trainings will give them self -confidence and will help better their performance.

Nothing is impossible with Mayor Neil E. Lizares, so expect that best things are about to come.This administration is always ready to support the people who are dedicated and determined in helping the #gwapongaserbisyo in realizing its vision for a better Talisay.
