Contract Signing and Releasing of Educational Subsidy for 412 Scholarship sa Masa Program Beneficiaries

Mayor Neil Lizares with the 412 Scholarship sa Masa Program beneficiaries with their parents enter into #gwapongaserbisyo's Scholarship sa Masa Program contract signing agreement, this afternoon, January 30 at the Dela Rama Hall, 3rd Flr., new Talisay City Hall Bldg.

A short program was held with Angels' Wings Foundation President and Talisay City First Lady, Atty. Weng Lizares as guest speaker together with Pastor, Engr. Emmanuel Ebro, Former Talisay Scholarship sa Masa Program scholar, from 17 years ago, during the then Mayor Anthony Lizares.

In her speech, Atty. Weng Lizares emphasizes the messages that correlate with the word "BLESSED" and MAYOR NEIL LIZARES reiterated the importance of parents' support to their child's education and to the scholars to persevere continue the hard work, become more dedicated to achieve their goals and make their parents PROUD.

The program was also attended by City Vice Mayor Nicolai Jalandoni , SP Member and Chairman of the Committee on Education, Carl Lizres with his brother, Martin Lizares and Consultant for Education, Nemia Laud.

The six out of the 8 pioneer BS in Criminology scholars of the Expanded Scholarship sa Masa Special program for BS in Criminology who just recently passed the Criminology Board Exam were also given recognition.

After the program, the 382 scholars, both old and new grantees from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University, NONESCOST and the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas received Php3K each for their 2nd semester educational subsidy while the 30 BS in Criminology scholar grantees from CHMSU - Binalbagan received Php2K monthly subsidy, Php300.OO load allowance and 9kilos of rice for the month of December 2022 allocation.
