Talisay City Jail Conducts Nationwide Oplan Greyhound

Grand slam awardee the Talisay City Jail with Warden Romeo Jamandre Eyoy conducted Oplan Greyhound, a nationwide simultaneous random inspection of inmates’ quarters.


Talisay BJMP together with Warden Romeo Jamandre Eyoy conducted Oplan Greyhound, a nationwide simultaneous random inspection of inmates’ quarters last October 11, 2017.*

Also in attendance was the assisting team of the Talisay Philippine National Police (PNP) with team lead SPO3 Marlene Necesario.

This activity primarily aims to confiscate and flush out contrabands especially illegal drugs, electronic equipment, deadly weapons, cellphones therefore apprehending violators to keep the penal environment safe and conducive for reformation.

In an interview, BJMP Warden Eyoy is vying for the Red Orchid Award which aims to declare a jail facility a “no smoking zone” within the 100-meter perimeter radius of the facility.

With full support from Mayor Neil Lizares, the Talisay City Jail is the 2017 Best City Jail awardee in the Negros Island Region and a grand slam awardee for winning for three consecutive quarters.*(Chuck Diaz)
