The Chairman of the Committee on Transportation, Sangguniang Panlungsod Member (SPM) Rolin Meliton spearheaded the conduct of the public hearing on the three new proposed ordinances in the City of Talisay for the transport sector. The conduct of public hearing is a legislative process mandated by law prior to the approval of city ordinances.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Talisay will be holding a Public Hearing on the three new proposed ordinances authored by the SP Committee Chairman on Transportation, Rolin Meliton pursuant to the requirement as mandated by law prior to its adoption.
Hence, public is hereby enjoined to attend said hearing on January 23, 2018, 1:00 in the afternoon, Talisay City Public Plaza.

Mayor Neil Lizares III released a total amount of 111,000 pesos for the 37 beneficiaries (informal settlers) of Barangays Zones 1 and 15.
The informal settlers received the financial assistance amounting to 3,000 pesos each. This assistance is given by the #gwapongaserbisyo to support the needs of the beneficiaries in their transfer to their relocated site.

OWWA Bacolod Representative Jonelyn S. Alicaya turned over Cash assistance to 16 distressed and with unfinished contract abroad Talisay Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW). Mrs. Sally Barrios of the Talisay OFW Office facilitated the release of the financial assistance amounting to P20, 000.00 from the office of the Overseas Workers Welfare Association. Said program of the OWWA tagged as "Balik Pinas- Balik Hanap Buhay", a national program of the Duterte administration.
