The City of Talisay's 8th Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Committee on Ways and Means, Budget, Finance and Appropriations scheduled a marathon of budget hearings commencing today December 4 to 5, 2017 on the proposed Annual Budget for Calendar Year 2018 of the City of Talisay.

Public Hearing On The Proposed Operation Of The Sanitary Landfill In Barangay Concepcion In Compliance With Ra 9003, Hope To Solve 17 Years Of Open Dump Site Environmental Hazards

The City Government of Talisay held a public hearing on the proposed sanitary landfill in compliance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 9003, otherwise known as the “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000” as mandated by the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, happening today at the Barangay Concepcion Covered Court.

About 500 student athletes from the different elementary and secondary schools in the City, will be representing the City of Talisay in the various sport events in this year's Area III Athletic Meet, with this year's theme: "Strengthening Partnerships Through Sports".

Forty five police trainees assigned in the City of Talisay receive their monthly allowance for the month of October, as promised by City Mayor Neil Lizares today, November 14, 2017 at the City Mayor's Office. Said monthly allowance in the amount of P1,000.00 is on top of the city's rice and grocery packs also being supplied to the trainees every month since August of this year.
