A total of 38 ICT Scholars Batches 41 and 42 successfully received their Certificates of Completion during their 40th Graduation Exercise in a simple but meaningful ceremony at the Dela Rama Hall, Talisay City Hall this afternoon.

Talisay generates P71M in taxes in 2 months

THE City Government of Talisay has collected about P71 million in various taxes in the first two months of 2018, which is almost 17 percent higher compared to the figures for the same period in 2017.

Mayor Nilo Jesus Antonio “Neil” Lizares, who met with the officers of the Negros Press Club at his office in Talisay City Tuesday, March 13, reported that their local income from January to February last year was only about P61 million.

Talisaynons in DOLE project

One hundred and sixty Talisaynons, 80 from Barangay Zone 10, and the remaining 80 from Barangay Zone 16, were chosen as beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers, or TUPAD program, a press release from the city said.

Ma. Victoria Diwata Borines, Sr. LEO/Livelihood focal person, DOLE- Negros Occidental Provincial Office, with Ricky Guzon, provincial administrative head of Abang Lingkod Partylist, were present during the awarding of checks worth P279,280 yesterday.
