Gwapongaserbisyo Delivers, Raising the Bar | Talisay's Health Hub Opens for Better Care, Poised to Redefine Talisay Healthcare
October 21, 2024
Mayor Neil Lizares conducted an ocular inspection at the newly completed Talisay Super City Health Center, a Php10M project by the Department of Health and 'Gwapongaserbisyo', with fund allocation of Php6M from the DOH and Php4M from the city, this 500SqM Primary Health Care facility is poised to be a game changer in the city's healthcare system.
While medical and dental services will still continue at the Main Talisay CHO in the Poblacion, this facility will serve as a crucial step toward decongesting the influx of patients at the main City Health Office. This means better and more efficient services for the people of Talisay.
The DOH also provided Php4M for new equipment, with an additional Php1.5M from the city to fully equip this modern healthcare hub.
Strategically located behind the new Talisay City Hall Complex, the center will cater to Barangays Zone 1, 2, 16, Efigenio, and Bubog, ensuring a 1:20K population ratio per facility, marking a significant move towards accessible and quality healthcare.
As part of Mayor Neil's Gwapongaserbisyo initiative under the ASENSO tenets of governance, healthcare innovation is a top priority. While much remains to be done, this center is one of three new facilities planned, with construction on two more Talisay Super Health Centers in the upland barangays, set to begin soon is the one in Barangay Matab-ang with lot donated by the Lizares Family.
Mayor Neil recognizes that real progress takes time, but with every small step—like this, Talisay is getting closer to achieving its vision for a better healthcare. Change doesn't happen overnight, but with #Gwapongaserbisyo, commitment to meeting the needs of every Talisaynon is stronger and more important than ever.
