In a momentous and solemn session held at 10:00 AM today at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, the City Board of Canvassers officially proclaimed the newly elected officials of Talisay City.

The proclamation was led by the Board of Canvassers, composed of Chairperson Fiscal Ainee King Tañeza, Vice Chairperson Fiscal Ciri-ar Buntalidad Tabirao, and Member-Secretary Myline Apaso Cornel. The announcement was made following the successful completion and verification of the Certificate of Canvass of Votes.

This event signals a significant transition in the city’s leadership, as the administration moves from the outgoing governance of Mayor Neil Lizares under the banner of #Gwapongaserbisyo to the newly elected leadership of Mayor Atty. Rowena "Weng" Lizares, representing #Gwapangapanghimanwa. The continuity of good governance, now with a renewed vision and fresh leadership, sets the tone for the years ahead.
