GWAPOngaSERBISYO: The Humble Beginnings of a Household Name

It cropped-up in an informal huddle of a small group of friends to find a tagline to represent then mayoralty aspirant Neil Lizares III and his team for the 2016 election campaign, Why not "GWAPO nga SERBISYO?” And so goes the name. This photo essay tells you what "gwapo" really means in GWAPOngaSERBISYO.


The choice of the tagline GWAPO NGA SERBISYO was instantaneous as "gwapo" correlates to the mestizo features of the standard bearer Neil E. Lizares


The real intent of GWAPO nga SERBISYO is for Mayor Neil E. Lizares and his team to deliver good, nice and quality service to the people of Talisay.


A close friend and confidante, now City Administrator, Atty. Jonathan Ealdama, explained to Pio Talisay, that GWAPO nga SERBISYO refers to GOOD, NICE and QUALITY services for the people of Talisay.


Now into the second year of its first term, GWAPO nga SERBISYO acquired prime and quality equipment meant to last and render good service to the public.

Quoting one of the post on his Facebook wall, Mayor Neil E. Lizares said "Setting a high standard" as a reference to the quality undertaking of Talisay's finest CDRRMO in the area of disaster preparedness and mitigation.


The rehabilitation of the urban drainage at Barangays Zone 4, 5 and 6 form part of the citywide anticipation of natural and man-made disaster occurrences.


GWAPO nga SERBISYO has a heart for the elderly as it initiates an increase in the financial assistance to help defray medicine and other personal needs.


Road networks break thresholds toward unreachable barangays in Talisay City not only for the hinterland folks to gain access to the urban areas but for GWAPOngaSERBISYO to deliver upland basic government services.


EDUCATION for ALL...not just for the academic exemplary...not just for honor students....but for those who have the intent and the passion to acquire education.


THEN THERE WAS LIGHT.......aspiring to lit far flung areas ...for safety, security and most of all the joys of entertainment and communitarian life brought to rural families with JUST ONE SWITCH


Enhance sewerage in urban areas to contain flooding and water stagnation.


GWAPO nga SERBISYO shall continue to set the benchmark on the delivery of quality services to Talisay City. City Administrator Atty. Jonathan Ealdama takes all criticisms to GWAPO nga SERBISYO in stride saying, "It helps us reflect and realize that we still can do more. We accept it as it is."
