City Government of Talisay 1st Monday Program for the Month of April

Talisay City Bureau of Fire Protection headed by Talisay Fire Chief Jenny Mae Masip sponsors the 1st Monday's Program for the Month of April of the City Government of Talisay, held at the City Public Plaza.

In culmination to the monthlong observance of the Fire Prevention Month, the Bureau of Fire Protection holds a one day "Fire Square Road Show" at the City Public Plaza, today. The activity aims to increase the awareness and knowledge of people with the very nature of the BFP's work, equipment and its personnel by providing interactive demonstrations where one can actively engage, participate and explore especially in the different equipment used by the firefighters.

Another highlight of the program is the recognition and awarding of certificates and cash incentives to the winners of the Talisay Bureau of Fire Protection's 2nd Barangay Fire Olympics participated by the different barangays of the City of Talisay, held on March 27 at the City Public Plaza.

The activity was supported by the Talisay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. First aid and basic life support, showcase of the equipment of the BFP and fire fighting were also undertaken during the fire Olympics.

The winners of the 2nd Barangay Fire Olympics 2019 are:
1st place - Barangay Zone 15
2nd place - Barangay Zone 14-A
3rd Place - Barangay Dos Hermanas.

Best in Song and Yell goes to Barangay Zone 3, the Best in Uniform is Barangay Dos Hermanas and the Fire Extinguisher / LPG Management goes to Barangay Zone 16.

Barangay Zones 3, 5, 6 and 16 receive their certificates of participation for joining the activity.

The flag ceremony culminated with the awarding of Loyalty Cash Incentives to Talisay City employees for having rendered 10 years and more as public service providers.

The Loyalty awardees for the month of March are ; Rossana Baydo of the Local Civil Registrar for having rendered 35 years in service, received P5,000 pesos, Irma May Astorga of the City Health Office rendered 25 years in service also received P5,000 and Arcelito Belonio of the City Treasurer's Office received P10,000 for inning his 10th year in public service.
