City of Talisay Highway Steel Barriers Get Makeover

HIGHWAY STEEL BARRIERS IN FRONT OF TALISAY PUBLIC MARKET GETS NEW MAKEOVER. INSTALLATION ASSISTED WITH THE TRAFFIC DIRECTIONAL WARNING SYSTEM FROM NEW TALISAY CDRRMO VEHICLE

Motorists and pedestrians passing in front of the Talisay Public Market will be greeted with the installation of a refurbished steel barrier or railings that will promote safety and improve visibility in the area especially during at night.


Part of the makeover include the sticking up of new safety reflector stripes in the steel barriers to aid its visibility in the middle of the road, as it reflects light from the headlights of vehicles.

Assisting during the installation is Spyxe L Gutierrez, of the Talisay CDRRMO, ensuring smooth traffic flow with the help of the new rescue pick-up vehicle providing traffic directional flow warning assistance.

Mayor Neil Lizares has detailed a new rescue pick up vehicle to the TCDRRMO to further improve disaster and rescue preparedness monitoring, avoid danger, prevent accidents and promote advance safety measures in the whole City of Talisay.

True to his mandate as provided by law, Mayor Neil has allocated 5 percent of the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) or 31.5 million pesos to fund and support disaster risk management activities such as disaster preparedness programs including purchase of disaster response and rescue equipment. The fund shall cover 30% lump-sum allocation for Quick Response Fund and 70% allocation for disaster prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, rehabilitation and recovery.
