Talisay tanods get support

Mayor Neil Lizares III has allocated funds for the monthly financial support of the 366 barangay tanods from the barangays of Talisay City.

A total of 253 barangay tanods received their first monthly allowance of P500 last week, a Silay City government press release said.

BJMP- Talisay City Jail is BJMP -NIR's BEST CITY JAIL, meanwhile Talisay City, Jail Inspector Romeo J. Eyoy is a recipient of BEST JAIL WARDEN AWARD. Talisay City Jail has been a recipient of the said awards for three consecutive quarters (from 4th quarter of 2016 to 2nd quarter of 2017) which therefore leads to making Talisay City Jail in the Hall of Fame.

Powerhouse Team from FILINVEST Visits Talisay City to Explore on Investment Opportunities

A powerhouse team from Filinvest headed by Jovita "Joy" R. Polloso, Senior Vice President for Commercial Center and Retail Management Division, Filinvest Lifemalls met with the economic and investment team of Taliisay City headed by Mayor Neil Lizares III and Assistant City Administrator Ismael Penado. Also present were Renea Ferrer, Senior Tourism Officer, Joebert Polanco of the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), Marmelo Sausi, City Planning and Development Office (CPDO) Head and Engineer Rechel Arimas of the City Engineering Office.

First in Talisay: Rugby/American Football Workshop Held at CHMSC

Pass it Back is an innovative Sports for Development program managed by ChildFund in partnership with the Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU), a non-profit national sports association, which focuses on growing and developing the sport of Rugby in the country.The program aims to equip children and young people in Asia to overcome challenges, inspire positive social change and "pass it back" to their communities. The world rugby program aim to grow the game globally, it encourages children and youth to "Try, Play and Stay" in the game.

City of Talisay Hosts OFW Families Annual Mid-Year Assessment and Planning Workshop

Talisay City was chosen to be the venue of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Region VI, Annual Mid-Year Assessment and Planning with workshop topics on Basic Book Keeping Training and Capability Building on Developing Effective Communication Skills. This year’s convention was attended by OFW- Family Circle Officers from the different barangays in the city, together with the OFW- Family Circle officers from Valladolid, Escalante and Bacolod City.
