City of Talisay Conducts Health, Nutrition Orientation to 342 barangay Health Workers

342 BARANGAY HEALTH WORKERS FROM THE DIFFERENT BARANGAYS IN THE CITY OF TALISAY UNDERGO THEIR FIRST ORIENTATION ON HEALTH AND NUTRITION.

In consonance with the celebration of Nutrition Month for this year, Talisay City Health Office headed by Dr. Joy Gladys Guanzon, M.D conducted the very first Health and Nutrition Orientation to 342 barangay Health Workers from the 27 barangays in the City, today July 24,2017 at the Dela Rama Hall.

HIGHWAY STEEL BARRIERS IN FRONT OF TALISAY PUBLIC MARKET GETS NEW MAKEOVER. INSTALLATION ASSISTED WITH THE TRAFFIC DIRECTIONAL WARNING SYSTEM FROM NEW TALISAY CDRRMO VEHICLE

Motorists and pedestrians passing in front of the Talisay Public Market will be greeted with the installation of a refurbished steel barrier or railings that will promote safety and improve visibility in the area especially during at night.


3-day medical, surgical mission set

Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares III met with Nikki Lopez Benitez to plan the groundwork for a major 3-day medical and surgical mission, to start November 9, at the Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, Negros Occidental.

Close to a 50-man medical team from the Makati Medical Center Foundation, including surgeons and operating room nurses, will operate on major and minor cases, including thyroid, hernias, cleft lip and palate, gallbladder stones, OB gynecological cases such as ovarian cysts and small breast masses, among others, a press release from Talisay said.

Talisay City Health Office conducted health advocacy campaign

The City Health Office conducted a health advocacy campaign to around 800 first year college students (all courses) of Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) Talisay City with the theme "Awareness on Dengue Prevention Environmental Sanitation, Pre-Marital Sex, Anti Smoking, Food Poisoning, Drug Addiction, HIV/Aids, and Re-Orientation on Medical Policy/ Regulation of the medical clinic". Said activity is a project of the Student Affairs Office of CHMSC with head Ma. Isabel Tubera and Public Health Nurse Mr. Dominic M. Requina.

Talisay City Announces P1.6M in Allowances for Local PWDs

In observance of National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, the Talisay City government recently announced a P450 quarterly allowance will be distributed to eligible persons with disabilities (PWDs), amounting to a total of P1.6 million.

IN TALISAY, Lizares pushes for P450 aid for PWDs

Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares III led the celebration of the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week at the Talisay public plaza recently, a press release from the city said.The event was organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office, and the differently-abled citizens cheered Lizares’ announcement of a proposed P450 quarterly allowance for the city’s 850 registered persons with disabilities, or a total of P1.6 million, to be allocated starting January 2018.

Lizares added that if time and resources permit, the distribution of PWD allowance may even start as early as the third quarter of this year.
