Talisay City Gears Up for July 23 National Smoking Ban Smoke-Free Task Force to be organized

Talisay City is ready to implement the nationwide ban on smoking set on Sunday, July 23, 2017. In its weekly session, City Councilor Randy Ereneta pushed for the passage of the city’s Comprehensive Smoke Free Ordinance in support of the national government’s Executive Order No. 26 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on May 16, 2017 that bans smoking in all public places. Said ordinance covers as well Civil Service Commission laws and Executive Orders that prohibit provision and selling of tobacco products to minors.

City of Talisay Conducted Basic Life Support Training

Basic Life Support Training last July 15, 2017 at Talisay City Health Office. It was conducted by GTO training personnel to give significant techniques and ideas to our Doctors, Staff Nurse, and even our Ambulance drivers for them to provide professional medical care to the patient.

PUBLIC ADVISORY: City of Talisay to Implement Executive Order No. 26

Mark your calendars Talisaynons, on July 23, 2017(Sunday) EO 26 on smoking will be implemented in the city.

Implementation of the said EO will prohibit smoking in public and enclosed areas. Covered by the ban are centers of youth activity like playschools, preparatory, elementary and high schools, colleges and universities, youth hostels and recreational facilities for minors, elevators and stairwells, locations where hazards are present, within premises of public and private hospitals, medical, dental and optical clinics and food preparation areas.

Reclamation Project to Boost Talisay

25-Years “Besties” Thanked Lizares For Senior Citizen Allowance, Looking Forward For More

Both were heavy equipment operators of a milling company in Talisay City until their retirement decades ago. But they’ve remained friends for 25 years. And though they lived quite near each other at Barangay Dos Hermanas, it’s been a while since they last shared a hearty conversation until this week’s distribution of the quarterly allowance from the office of Talisay City Mayor Neil E. Lizares III.

Talisay eyeing reclamation project

The possibility of land reclamation and other development projects in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, were explored recently by Talisay Mayor Neil Lizares III and Rep. Albee Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District), with Alberto Agra, chairman of the Board of the Philippine Reclamation Authority, in Bacolod City.
